October Update

Hello Salmon Enhancement Community. Just a quick update to let you all know that we have been working on catching more Chinook for some eggtakes. We are over 800 000 eggs collected so far and will start on Chum this week. We also have school visits on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday.  As you will see in the video link below the schools have been out cheering on our salmon enhancement team while they work.

Eggtake

We would like to thank our volunteer team for there help at Lang Creek. The group has again  showed up in full force to help staff sort returning fish and assist with eggtakes.

Stock assessments activities will continue at Lang Creek with Chum numbers expected to accelerate.

Cheers

Shane

Thanks for the update reports Shane. You and the PRSS team as well as all the volunteers are doing something very special. Together you are not just supporting the propogation of our precious salmon species but as well you are educating our next generation of children on the importance of protecting and preserving this critically important piece of our environment.

Keep up the great work you are doing and again thank you.
