The salmon are coming all the way home again soon! This is when Lang Creek gets busy with volunteers to manage the egg harvest and as in past years — it is an exciting time for the kids! The schoolkids get to see the egg harvest, tour the facilities and the clay projects and fish printing keeps their interest in the awareness of the importance of salmon for their future. It is amazing that the small salmon that hatched in the classroom fish tank are introduced back into the creek by the kids in April and now we are printing the fish that they released has returned and they should be proud to have an important hand in it. This is so cool! Way to go to the new stewards the kids have become. Our salmon are healthy and happier for it!
