February 2020

Our biomass has nearly doubled in February. Our fish are growing at a very healthy rate. There have been many transports from our Mill Hatchery to Duck Lake Hatchery to accommodate the increasing biomass. This fish distribution process is also important because the fish need to imprint on Lang Creek.

With increasing daylight hours we are expecting water temperatures to rise in March. Warmer water means our fish metabolism will increase leading to an even steeper growth curve for our young salmon fry. Here is a glimpse into February 2020!
